So.... I'm addicted to my computer. I made a movie for my Dad's 60th birthday, and now I am obsessed. I have started making all kinds of movies of my family. Every chance I get I sneek into our bedroom and start importing and scanning and downloading etc. Poor Burke is feeling neglected. But he is out watching some TV show about hunting. He can't really expect me to cuddle up to him during his hunting shows does he? So it's my time to go back to my little obsession. It's really nice because our computer is on a desk right next to my bed and we have a wireless keyboard. So as I am typing, I am laying in bed, cuddled up under my cozy, warm, down comforter.

So anyway..... A little about what I've been doing lately. Do you know that song by Nine Inch Nails "Everyday is exactly the same"? Um... yeah. that's me. Watching Teletubbies, changing diapers, washing clothes, reading stories, watching "tubbies" again, kissing "owies", trying to get that kid to eat, trying to get both kids to sleep, watching "tubbies" again, doing the dishes, wiping runny noses, making dinner, making playdough, singing the ABC's, cooing at my sweet girlie, playing peek-a-boo. watching "tubbies" again. (What kind of deranged person created teletubbies anyway?)

In my repetitive day, I just have to keep reminding myself to keep my priorities straight. As long as both kids are alive and healthy at the end of the day, I have done my job. Even if there are fingerprints all over the walls and macaroni and cheese all over the floor. I'm trying to not care so much about getting all of my stuff done and slowing down to give my kiddos the time they need from their Mommy. And at the end of the day, before Burke and I go to bed, I sneak into their rooms and see those sweet angels sprawled out in their beds, their long lashes brushing against their cute chubby cheeks. It's the best time of day. Heck, its probably the best time of life.

Even if I don't love every minute of my day, overall, if everyday is exactly the same. I'll take it.
