Thanksgiving point

We went to Thanksgiving point last night to take family pictures. They won't be finished for awhile but we took some of our own shots. What a beautiful place!

Both kids got some quality Grandpa time. And this weekend we had some family time with Ryan and Natalie and their kids. They came to stay with us. We went to the zoo and saw all of the the animals.

Fun in the Sun

Today we took advantage of the sun and went for our first bike ride of the year.

I got my kids packed up in the bike trailer,Holy crap are they cute or what???
Then we took off for the park.

This was Tess's excited and happy face right before she slid all of the way off the slide and onto the ground and started to cry.And my favorite picture of the day......Isn't she lovely?

So this is how my week started out....
I was on the freeway going to meet some high school friends for lunch. I came to some construction signs telling me to merge left. I had a semi on the left side so I was getting ready to merge as soon as it passed me. The car in front of me sped up and merged in front of the semi and as soon as it got over I noticed there was a van STOPPED on the freeway trying to merge left. I slammed on my brakes but this is what happened.

I had burns on my arms from the air bag going off. My kids were strapped in their cars seats screaming. We were still sitting on the freeway and I was so afraid that someone was going to hit me and my kids and I couldn't do anything to get them out of there. It was soooo scary! I tried to pull off the road as far as I could go but it took the police forever to get to me and the whole time I was worried that my kids were in danger sitting there on the freeway!

We are all fine thankfully. Tess has an abrasion on her neck from the car seat strap and Mason has a bruise on his shoulder from the seat belt. The people in the van were able to drive away in their car. Ours though, is totalled. I was worried Burke would be angry with me but luckily he was excited that now we get to get a new car. I can always... well, sometimes... count on Burke to see the bright side of our problems. (Just kidding honey.)

Mason has finally mastered the potty!!! (Burke wants me to let you know that he has too)

Hallelujah!!!!

Gosh that was a pain! He was doing really well. I was taking him to the potty every 3 hours and he would go. We did this for about a week. Then all of a sudden he regressed. He started fighting me every time I tried to take him to the potty and would hold it all day and then go so much at night in his diaper (I am still using diapers at night) that it would leak out all over him and his bed. YUCK!

So the secret to our success.....

I bought him one of these at Walmart for about $3.00. It sat on the back of the toilet and everytime he went he would get one. All of a sudden he was asking to go potty 20-30 times a day. By the time the gumballs were all gone, he didn't need them anymore and was asking to go without any reward at all. Hooray!!!

Easter in Boise

Mason's blue eyes in his Easter outfit.Beautiful Tessa in her easter dress Obviously I'm not the best photographer. This is the only picture that wasn't blurry.

The easter egg hunt was a blast. Tessa was more interested in playing with the bird bath and eating the bird seed than finding and eating easter candy.

Mason was pretty excited to find the chocolate eggs
And the thrill of the hunt

But bubbles are the best!!

Three cousins. Check out Parker and Ryder's mischevious grins. I wonder what they were really up to?
Decorating easter eggs. What a cutie!
